Learn the history of the various railroads which eventually became the Norfolk Southern Railway, a Class I U.S. railroad. Get an up-close view of a 900-pound railroad coupler and sit in a locomotive simulator at the NS Museum. Exhibits highlight company history and artifacts, including sections of Civil War-era track, vintage hand tools, and diagrams to teach hand signals to railroad trainees.
