Before or after the race, be sure to fuel your body right. The Virginia Beach Oceanfront is home to a number of restaurants that dish out a filling pre-race breakfast or celebratory lunch, and even cocktails. Here are some of our favorite places to eat and drink during the Shamrock Marathon.
Get some pep in your step with a cup of coffee from Bad Ass Coffee. This roaster brings the flavors of Hawaii to Virginia Beach serving Hawaiian-grown coffee, along with breakfast and lunch. May’s Parlor is also a great place to fuel up before the half marathon. This charming bakery has a number of classic baked goods and pastries.
Before or after the race, enjoy a farm-to-table meal from Harvest Restaurant. Serving “farm-to-beach” dishes, Harvest’s food is locally sources using high-quality ingredients. For more fast-casual fare, visit Aloha Snacks. This restaurant dishes out Hawaiian-style burgers, bowls and tropical cocktails. They also offer a kid’s menu, making them perfect for the whole family.
Keep the race’s musical theme going with a meal at Abbey Road Pub & Restaurant. This Beatles-themed tavern combines great pub food and live entertainment, along with 42 beers on tap.
Toast to your race with one of Virginia Beach’s famous orange crushes or another refreshing cocktail. Ocean 27 has plenty of drink offerings, along with relaxing glider tables, live music and lawn games.
