Here are some of the festivals and concerts you can find in Virginia Beach on Memorial Day weekend.
One of Virginia Beach’s most popular festivals is the Pungo Strawberry Festival. Pungo is Virginia Beach’s agricultural community and the area is famous for its strawberries. The Pungo Strawberry Festival will feature over 50 different ways to enjoy strawberries. The festival will also have family-friendly events including a parade, bake-off, pie eating contest, live music, arts and crafts and more. The festival is free to attend but carnival rides require a ticket purchase.
Concerts and Live Music
The Virginia Beach Oceanfront is always buzzing with live entertainment. On Memorial Day weekend, you can find live music performed at several locales. Restaurants and beach bars, including The Bunker, Chix on the Beach, Waterman’s and more will all have live music and DJs that weekend.
On 17th, 24th and 31st Street parks you can find stages for live music during Salute to Summer. This free, outdoor concert is a salute to music, fun and the men and women of the military who sacrifice their lives. Across three stages, you can find local acts performing from at 8 p.m., Friday, May 24–Sunday, May 26. In addition to listening to great music, you can also stroll the Heroes Walk display along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. This display features essays written by local high school students describing historic military conflicts.
