The Dome
Experiencing a live show at The Dome is a must while in town. The premier entertainment venue opened its doors in early May 2025, with a meaningful performance by Three Dog Night, the band that delivered the final show at Virginia Beachās original Dome that closed in 1994. The new reimagined state-of-the-art venue, with indoor-outdoor capabilities, has hosted top musicians including Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Melissa Etheridge & Joss Stone, Miguel and Chicago and many more. (Note: Chicago returns for a highly anticipated concert at The Dome on June 18, 2026.) Learn more at TheDomeByRutterMills.com.

The Sitio
Conveniently located on the grounds of Atlantic Park, The Sitio is a brand new boutique hotel that provides an oasis within the vibrant Virginia Beach Oceanfront. With a coastal yet contemporary design, the hotel features 20 spacious guest rooms, some of which include balcony views of the surf lagoon. Learn more at TheSitioVB.com.

Restaurants and Shops
Atlantic Park is also a destination featuring a mix of restaurants and shops (with more to come), adding further convenience and amenities to the experience of staying and playing in this section of the resort area. Stay tuned to Atlantic Parkās developments by visiting AtlanticParkVB.com.

From live entertainment to surf culture to refined hospitality, Atlantic Park offers a delightful blend of the Virginia Beach community. Ā
Included at the park will be The Dome, an indoor and outdoor facility that will host civic, entertainment and community functions as well as a public plaza that will be open on non-event days. The plaza, which will be lined with various shops and restaurants, may also play host to various arts fairs, markets, free performances and more.
The addition of The Dome has brought forth tons of excitement, as it is an ode to Virginia Beachās original Dome that was built in 1957 and was the site for hundreds of iconic concerts like The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles and Jimi Hendrix before being demolished in 1994. The reimagined Dome will seat up to 3,500 in its live entertainment venue, and will be bringing the concert scene back to the oceanfront in a major way.
Despite it being a more than $350 million project overall, the parkās year-round operations will bring major benefits to the oceanfront and Virginia Beachās economy as a whole.
Atlantic Park and The Dome are expected to be complete next year with an opening predicted for Spring 2025. Learn more at AtlanticParkVB.com.
