Join the unforgettable journey aboard The Nature Bus led by the renowned James Abbott, an award-winning birding guide! As we travel for an hour to our destination, James River/Powhatan Creek, James will entertain and educate. Setting off from JCC Marina, we’ll leisurely navigate the marshlands of Powhatan Creek, progressing through the enchanting tight cypress swamp, where your guides will identify blooming plants and various bird species. This approximately 2+ hour “easy” paddle allows for frequent stops for naturalist commentary, following the tide for a smoother journey. Concluding our expedition, we’ll gather at Frothy Moon Brewhouse for refreshing drinks and a delightful picnic lunch.
