The Virginia Beach Oceanfront will sparkle with festive cheer as the 2025 BayPort Credit Union Holiday Lights at the Beach returns for another enchanting season.

Running from Friday, November 14 through Wednesday, December 31, this beloved annual tradition transforms the boardwalk at 2nd Street into a winter wonderland of illuminated artistry.
Visitors can experience the spectacular light display during three nightly showtimes at 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9 p.m. The exhibition features an impressive array of animated displays, including jumping fish, musical crabs, playful elves, and dancing penguins—all set against the dramatic moonlit backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean.
This year’s display promises unforgettable experiences with a fan-favorite Surfing Santa, mesmerizing color-changing archways, and a stunning 40-foot Christmas tree adorned with synchronized dancing lights. The event also honors the local military community with special luminous fixtures dedicated to the Armed Forces. A highlight of the exhibition is the largest and longest curved LED Light Tunnel in the United States, offering visitors an immersive walk through thousands of twinkling lights.
Special events throughout the season add extra excitement to the festivities. Military families can save $5 on admission every Monday with valid Military I.D. The season kicks off with Holiday Lights Bike Night on Thursday, November 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., while the First Night Holiday Hike on Thursday, January 1 offers a unique way to ring in the new year.
Families are encouraged to extend their evening by exploring the Virginia Beach Resort area’s diverse dining options and attractions, creating a complete night of entertainment. The Holiday Lights at the Beach promises to deliver magical moments and cherished memories for visitors of all ages.
