The American Music Festival heats up the Oceanfront with live music each night. Waves of runners will be participating in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Half Marathon. Then when you’ve tired yourself out from all the weekend fun, set up your beach chairs and catch the fireworks show overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean!

Beginning Aug. 31: Virginia Beach Farmer’s Market Carnival

The Virginia Beach Farmer’s Market is hosting a carnival for the final summer celebration before school starts.

Aug. 31–Sept. 2: American Music Festival

The largest outdoor music event on the East Coast, the American Music Festival brings together headliners Ziggy Marley, Soja, Goo Goo Dolls and ZZ Top for this year’s concert weekend.

Where: At the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on the 5th Street Main Stage, 17th Street DQ Grill & Chill Park Stage, 24th Street Park Stage and 31st Street Park Stage

Sept. 1–2: Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon

For over 20 years, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series has made running fun by infusing each course with live bands, cheer teams and more. This year, expect more music every step of the way. Participate in the half marathon, one-mile run or 5K.
