As Virginia Beach’s only water park, Ocean Breeze has been serving locals and visitors for over 40 years. The park features rides, slides and other aquatic attractions, perfect for kids and adults. Spend a day at Ocean Breeze Waterpark racing down thrilling water slides, floating down the lazy river, tackling the wave pool or just relaxing poolside.

Rides and Slides at Ocean Breeze Waterpark

Ocean Breeze has 10 main water rides and slides, perfect for twisting, turning and making a splash.

Sea Serpent is a 350-foot, fully-enclosed water ride showcasing 360-degree turns and curves. Brave a 35-foot-tall drop on Vortex. Ride out the storm on Hurricane, an enclosed slide that opens up into a funnel that spins you. Experience a white water rafting adventure right in the park as you travel along Jungle Falls. Or, live the life of a pirate as you ride Pirates’ Plummet and Walk the Plank. Earth Shaker, The Trident and Largo Loop can be ridden in single or double innertubes. Ocean Breeze’s water slides are even more fun with a friend.

Ocean Breeze Waterpark slides

These rides are mainly for riders over 48-inches tall, but some can cater to riders between 42–48 inches when they wear a life vest. Be sure to check park guidelines to make sure you are the appropriate height to safely ride.

Kid-Friendly Areas at Ocean Breeze Waterpark

If your children are under the height requirement for Ocean Breeze’s main rides and slides, there’s a fun, safe area for them to have some water fun too. The recently renovated Buccaneer Bay is perfect for smaller children to play with or without their parents.

Ride the South Seas Silly Slides with your little one, or let them explore all of Buccaneer Bay’s attractions on their own. Sprayers, slides and a massive tipping bucket await to shower your kids in water and fun at Hook’s Lagoon. Children can even go for a float along Little Amazon, a lazy river designed specifically for children under 48 inches.

Other Attractions at Ocean Breeze Waterpark

Ocean Breeze features an activity pool with water slides and even a log roll. Relax in the pool or challenge a friend to see who can balance on the log the longest.

Have some high-thrill fun as you brave the waves of the million-gallon wave pool. Runaway Bay brings beach waves to you. Swim to the deep end to ride the tallest waves, or relax in the zero-depth entry shallow end.

When you’re ready to relax on the water, enjoy a float through Hideaway Cove along the Adventure River. This 1,000-foot-long lazy river allows riders to float on a 10-minute tube ride.

Ocean Breeze Waterpark Cabanas

For some relaxation outside of the water, you can catch some rays at the poolside seating. For a more private experience, rent a cabana. Ocean Breeze’s shaded cabanas not only include plush seating, lounge chairs and a ceiling fans, but also a flat screen television, bottled water, and poolside food and drink service. Cabanas come in three sizes: standard, large and extra large.

Cabanas can be purchased in advanced over the phone or by email. Cabanas are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dining at Ocean Breeze Waterpark

Outside food and drink are not permitted inside of Ocean Breeze Waterpark. However, there are plenty of dining options available throughout the park.

Enjoy pizza, sandwiches, salads, burgers, hot dogs and more at The Palm Tree Grill, Shipwreck Subs and Paradise Pizza. Adults can indulge in the menu options available at River Runners Bar & Grill, including cheesesteaks, crab cake sandwiches, shrimp po’ boys and more.

Cool off with an ice-cold slushy from Slush Factory, or grab a quick snack or dessert from Polly, Want a Snack?, the funnel cake stand, Hershey’s Ice Cream and Dippin’ Dots.

Shopping at Ocean Breeze Waterpark

Before you leave the park, after your fun-filled day, stop by Island Trader Gift Shop for a souvenir. Or, if you happened to leave something at home, you can also purchase bathing suits, water shoes, towels and more.

Ocean Breeze also has an on-site candy store, The Treasure Chest Candy Store, where you can find a wide assortment of sweet treats.

Ocean Breeze Waterpark Admission

Regular daily admission to Ocean Breeze is $36.99, while children ages 3–9 are $26.99. Purchase your tickets online and save $4 on a regular ticket purchase.

Ocean Breeze Waterpark Season Passes

If you plan to visit Ocean Breeze several times during the season, purchase a season pass. Season passes can be purchased online for $69.99, $10 less than at the gate.

Season pass holders receive benefits, including unlimited visits during the season, discounts on food, drinks and at the gift shop, discounted admission for family and friends, exclusive events and more.

Ocean Breeze Waterpark is located at 849 General Booth Blvd., Virginia Beach. Look for Hugh Mongous, the 45-foot-tall gorilla, to greet you at the gate.

The park’s season begins in mid-May and ends in early September.

Hours

During the summer season, Ocean Breeze Waterpark is open Monday–Friday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Parking

Parking at Ocean Breeze is free. The parking lot is located past he main entrance to the park, down Ocean Breeze Parkway. Trams are available to take guests from their parking area to the park entrance.
