Apex Entertainment Brings Family Fun to Virginia Beach’s Town Center
By Arielle Patterson
Virginia Beach has always been known as a destination for family fun. Adding to the roster of family-friendly attractions in the city is Apex Entertainment, a family entertainment center.
Apex Entertainment opened its first location in Marlborough, Mass. in 2017, then two more locations in Syracuse, New York and Albany, New York in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
“We were looking for a venue outside the northeast, and Virginia Beach was ideal,” explains Rob Luzzi, community relations manager for Apex Entertainment. In December 2020, Apex Entertainment expanded its reach south with the opening of its new location at Virginia Beach’s Town Center.
The 84,000-square-foot, multi-level facility boasts a lot of fun activities for both kids and parents. Guests can enjoy some friendly competition while racing on the indoor go-kart track and bowling, two attractions Luzzi says are the most popular at the Virginia Beach location. Apex Entertainment also has laser tag, escape rooms, ropes courses, arcade and redemption games, sports simulators, bumper cars, virtual reality and so much more.
“We have a little bit of everything and that helps make us a popular venue to visit,” says Luzzi.
Between experiencing all of Apex’s thrilling attractions, fuel up at The Pit Stop Tavern, a full-service dining option. Even the pickiest eaters will find something to love from the family-friendly comfort food menu, including pizza, burgers and wraps, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options. For the adults, there’s even a full bar mixing handcrafted cocktails.
“We always pride ourselves in providing a safe, clean and fun environment,” Luzzi expresses. He continues to say that “perfect weather is always guaranteed” at Apex Entertainment, making it the perfect year-round and rainy-day attraction.
