From Xciting game shows to swash-buckling pirates, family comedies, and family improv nights, concert series, murder mysteries, and holiday Xtravaganzas, every show at FFX Theatre is original and downright fun to play along with (even for those without kids). With whole-audience games and zany challenges all ages play along throughout each show. Clean and fun, a simple formula for a great time together!
At Family Fun Xperience, while laughing along your family discovers the important mission underneath all the fun. This non-profit theatre created in the heart of Virginia Beach creates genuine conneXion with one another. Laughs and games turn a couple hours into real quality time together. Parents are often surprised to see their kids and teens in a new light, and it’s common to hear kids say, “Mom! How’d you do that?” or, “Wow! Dad?”
Big productions mean an Xpensive family night, right? That’s what owners Angie and Tim Ritter found raising their kids. “We launched FFX as a nonprofit venue in April 2020 to be something different and accessible to families.” So they kept it wildly afford-able, with surprisingly inXpensive tickets and ‘bang for the buck’ concession prices.
New this year are Family Xcape Xperiences – with mysterious “Break Out Rooms” on site and new “Break In Adventures” that take your family on a journey Xploring the oceanfront to unlock a treasure! RelaX with rainy day board game café and free movies, or join in an Open Mic and Karaoke night to shine on stage! Let their staff make your birthday, anniversary, family reunion, wedding, or other special event Xtra fun and memorable at FFX Theatre.
Creating over 60 original productions so far requires a great troupe of local actors and a staff with lots of heart to keep weekly productions fresh and Xciting. This effort shines through so your family and friends can enjoy all kinds of Xperiences. Family Fun Xperience gives back to the community also with special programs and events, plus serving as a performance space for arts and nonprofit groups in the community.
