Something in the Water is back, April 28-30, 2023!

Virginia Beach is a buzz year-round with events, festivals and activities. However, spring time is when the coastal city truly heats up. Throughout Virginia Beach, from the Oceanfront to inland, you can find happenings for every interest. The newest event to hit Virginia Beach is Something in the Water, a weekend music and entertainment festival.

About Something in the Water

Something in the Water is the brainchild of rapper, song writer and producer Pharrell Williams. In addition to his musical accolades, Williams is also a Virginia Beach native who wanted to bring something exciting to his city. When Williams announced the Something in the Water music festival, the event quickly garnered both local and national attention.

In a statement, Williams said, “Virginia needs this right now and the world will see what we Virginians have known all along: there really is Something in the Water.”

Something in the Water Lineup

The three-day long festival taking place April 28-30, 2023; will feature musical performances, speakers, pop-up church service and more. Full lineup and details to be announced soon.

Festival goers will be able to enjoy a range of musical artists from hip hop, R&B and rap to pop and electronic. Lineup and set times are subject to change without notice.

Something in the Water Ticket Prices

Tickets for Something in the Water go on sale November 5, 2022 at 12pm. Those who purchase in advance can take advantage of the early bird prices. Ticket prices will increase after the early bird sale to the Tier 2 prices.

For online purchases:

  • There is a four (4) ticket limit.
  • All sales are final. No refunds.
  • Minimum browser requirements are required to place an order online. Make sure you have the most updated browser version.
  • Do not buy passes from a third party or scalper. Third-party sales can’t be guaranteed, authenticated or supported.
  • A government-issued photo ID, order number and the credit card used for purchase are required for will-call pickup or troubleshooting by the original purchaser.

3-Day General Admission

General Admission (GA) includes one (1) GA wristband allows entry into the festival April 28th – 30th, 2023, including access to the main lineup, activities, food & drink vendors, and all GA areas of the festival. Limited tiered pricing. * Only available while supplies last.

*PLEASE NOTE: There is no difference between General Admission ticketing tiers other than the price. The tiered pricing system is designed to incentivize and engage past purchasers and communities directly impacted by the festival operations.

  • Tier 1 GA: $195 + fees
  • Tier 2 GA: $225 + fees
  • Tier 3 GA: $250 + fees
  • Tier 4 GA: $299 + fees
  • Tier 5 GA: $325 + fees

3-Day VIP

VIP includes dedicated entry lines, exclusive viewing areas, elevated restrooms, dedicated merch stands, free water stations, food & beverage vendors and charging stations. Limited tiered pricing. * Only available while supplies last.

  • Tier 1 VIP: $525 + fees
  • Tier 2 VIP: $550 + fees
  • Tier 3 VIP: $600 + fees

Something in the Water festival will be held at the 51st Street Stage at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront and the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
