Dive into the city’s culinary and craft beverage scene by dining al fresco at one of the many restaurants with a water view or partaking in your own Virginia Beach beer trail. With over 13 local breweries in the area, there’s plenty of new things to try. The Orange Crush is a Virginia Beach staple cocktail and bountiful seafood plenishes delectable plates that will delight the palate. Or you can imbibe international eats, as the area is a melting pot of various cuisine cultures.

Become one with nature by walking through the numerous trails or parks in the city, and get a glimpse at wildlife in their natural habitats at one of the refuge centers. If you’re more on the adventurous side, go for a ride ziplining or try out indoor skydiving. Neptune Festival

September 30 – Oct. 2, 2023
6th – 36th Streets, Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people celebrate at the festival’s many offerings. Daily concerts at festival stages are scattered along 30 blocks of the boardwalk and feature 27 performances from local, regional, and national recording artists. On the boardwalk, you can find over 250 artisans displaying handmade work, at an Art & Craft Show that has been ranked #5 out of 200 Fine Art and Design Shows across the country.

Keep walking to find 22 magnificent sand sculptures created by world-renowned international sculptors at Neptune’s International Sandsculpting Championship.

Other weekend events include Neptune’s 8k Race, Grand Parade, Volleyball Tournament, Atlantic Regatta, Youth Art Show, and more!
