Virginia Beach Brews, Festivals, Tours and Beyond

Combine craft beer with entertainment in Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach during your beach vacation

From beer festivals to microbrewery tours, these local booze destinations make the perfect group—or even solo—activity on your trip. With the local breweries open year-round and popular craft beer festivals happening throughout the summer, there is always a chance to sip on the local favorites and enjoy live entertainment.

Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival

If you enjoy a mug of cold draft beer, then the Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival most definitely should b put on your calendar. In 2014, the festival had over 50 breweries offering a unique spin on your favorite suds. Originally located on the 24th Street Park, last year’s festival had to be moved to a bigger venue on the oceanfront, a testament to its growing popularity.

This year you will find a massive tent on 30th street on the beach, conveniently located next to the 31st Street City Garage.  The Festival is expecting over 80 craft beers from over 50 breweries. Purchased tickets come with sampling, a commemorative cup and live entertainment.

Mark your calendars for October 17-18, 2015 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. both days.

If you want to experience multiple breweries, but cannot wait until the festival, a craft beer tour of Virginia Beach and surrounding areas might just be right up your alley.

Virginia Beach Craft Beer Tours

Hosted by Taste Tidewater Tours, the Virginia Beach Craft Beer Tours eliminates the need to both drive and find your way around Virginia Beach, which is great because it is much more than just a strip of sand by the boardwalk! The tour offers many benefits such as interesting tidbits about the local culture and events.

You will learn all about different craft brewery styles and explain just how that craft beer in your mug was produced. With a mini-history tour and beer your, you will be getting the best of both worlds!
