Fall Fun and Thrills at Hunt Club Farm

During the day, Hunt Club Farm has plenty of family-friendly fall activities at the Harvest Fair. Until Oct. 31, from 10 a.m.–6 p.m., explore Hunt Club Farm’s Harvest Fair. Here, you’ll find Virginia Beach’s largest pumpkin patch, hayrides, carnival rides, inflatables and much more for children and adults alike.

At night, Haunted Hunt Club Farm is the place to be in Virginia Beach for Halloween thrills. Experience the haunted hayride, Field of Screams, Village of the Dead and more. All around Hunt Club Farm, frightening figures will be lurking and ready to give you a scare.

Experience the Virginia Beach Ghost Walk

Take a guided tour into Virginia Beach’s haunted history along the Virginia Beach Ghost Walk. The Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum will be offering tours led by Gatsby-dressed guides. You’ll learn about Virginia Beach’s local businesses that are inhabited by some spooky spirits.

Have Spooky Fun at the Virginia Aquarium

Celebrate Halloween on Friday, Oct. 25 at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. The aquarium will host a fun Halloween event perfect for children of all ages. Trick-or-treat through the aquarium and come dressed up to play games, win prizes and enjoy the spooky entertainment.

Run the Wicked 10K

Spend the weekend before Halloween racing along the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The Anthem Wicked 10K is the area’s largest Halloween race and party, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25–26. Racers will get to dress in their Halloween costumes and run from the Virginia Beach Convention Center to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Events begin Friday with a sports and fitness expo at the Convention Center and the Monster Mile Race on the boardwalk. The 10K is on Saturday along with the post-race beach party and costume contest.

Listen to the Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s Spooky Sounds

On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra will perform a Halloween-themed concert at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts in Virginia Beach. Perfect for the whole family, come dressed up and ready to enjoy live music from the orchestra as they perform “some of the spookiest music ever written.”

Dress Up for a Halloween Lunch Cruise

Enjoy a Halloween-themed lunch cruise along the Elizabeth River with Spirit of Norfolk. On Sunday, Oct. 27, Spirit Cruises, out of nearby Norfolk, will host a costume lunch for families and their children. The two-hour lunch will feature a DJ playing Halloween-themed music, lunch buffet and photos with costumed superheroes.
