Always More To Do After A Visit To The Beach Doctor

Things To Do After Leaving Doc Taylor’s On 23rd Street

Regardless when you leave Doc Taylor’s, there is always something to do walking distance from this popular breakfast joint. Your stomach will be full and your body will be energized, ready for a day of exploring through the city.

Mini-Golf:

Right across the street on the corner of 23rd Street and Pacific Avenue, you will find Jungle Golf, a unique and fun mini-gold course perfect for an afternoon of family entertainment. Since 1970, Jungle Golf has been providing a jungle-themed 18-hole course, an arcade room with video games and pool tables, and an air-conditioned Jungle Village Snack Bar. Park in the private parking lot on 23rd street and enjoy a round of mini-golf in the wild!

If your outdoor mini-golf plans are ruined by bad weather, there are several places nearby Doc Taylor’s that provide one-of-the-kind indoor fun.

Just 2 streets over you will find King Neptune’s Indoor Black Light 3D Mini Golf on 25th Street and Pacific Avenue. This 10-hole indoor miniature golf course is designed in a creative way featuring the ultimate black light 3D experience.

Museum:

In between Jungle Golf and King Neptune’s is the Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum formerly called Old Coast Guard Station, a special museum honoring the Hampton Road maritime history. The museum is located right off the boardwalk on Atlantic Avenue and is open to the public for tours. The Station’s exhibits share history on the Oceanfront area, Virginia Beach community and other significant coastal and water related heritage.

Indoor Skydiving:

Last, but definitely not least, is iFLY located on 24th Street and Pacific Avenue. Just recently opened to the public, iFLY gives you the chance to skydive without the plane and parachute. There are multiple prices and packages to choose from, but they all will give you a life-changing experience that you most certainly will not forget any time soon.

Live Entertainment:

If you are a fan of live entertainment, head over to the 24th Street Park offering a variety of festivals, live music and special events all year long. Check out what is happening at the Park when you are in town!
