PlantHouse’s goal is to build a community around a common love for everything green.

How Does it work?

Walk-ins are taken all day during store hours, up to one hour before close. You can choose any project starting from $12. The price includes everything; all the plants, decorative material, instruction, etc. and will be your final price at checkout plus tax. Our staff will set you up at a workstation and guide you on how to construct your project and care for your plants. Projects $20 and up include two complimentary glasses of wine, Sangria, Mimosa, or Champagne. Please call ahead for parties of six or more and we’ll reserve a table for you.

Events are normally held Thursday, Friday, Saturday evenings (6:30pm to 8pm) and Saturday and Sunday mornings (11am/12pm-2pm). See the Events Tab above for a full list of events. Guest register to reserve their spot. Some book fast so reserve early if you are interested. During Events the class works on a specific project like a Jellyfish Terrarium, Succulent Terrarium, Macrame, etc. All classes include two complimentary glasses of wine, Sangria, Mimosa, or Champagne. Most events are $35.

How do I make a reservation?

You can call or txt our store phone 757 402 7196 or message us on any of our social media platforms. We need a first and last name, phone number, and the amount of people in your group. If you are making a reservation for a group please select one point of contact and give us the total of your group. It is assigned seating, if the members in your group make separate reservations we will not know to seat you together. We’ll call the day before the event to confirm. You can call, cancel, or adjust your reservation at anytime with no fee. No deposit required, payment due at checkout at the end of the class.

Do you host birthday parties?

Yes. If it is a smaller party with less than 20 people we can reserve a table for your group during daytime walk-in hours. Please call and give us contact information, price range, age, and the amount of people. There is an hour and a half time limit.

Where do I park?

During the day you can park in the lot right outside the door. For events after 6pm we are required to use a satellite lot across the street because we share a lot with two high volume restaurants (Terrapin and Tempt). Pull right up to the door and a free, no-tip, valet (Bailey’s Dad) will park your car and retrieve it when you are ready.

How much does it cost?

Between $12 to $80 depending on the size of the project. The average project is around $25.

Do you serve alcohol?

Yes. Any project $20 or more comes with two complimentary glasses of wine, Sangria, Mimosa, or Champagne. Outside alcohol is not permitted.

What are my options if a class is fully booked?

We offer a waiting list. Once we call and confirm all reservations we will give you a call if spots open.

Can I bring food?

No. We are a dirt factory, but Tempt and Terrapin are two great restaurants in the same parking lot.

How do I get my project home?

We box and pad every terrarium. We can do the same for poted plants. For large tree’s we offer to wrap both the tree and the pot to ensure a safe – dirt free drive home. For out of town guests we can pack your projects safe for flying or long road trips.. however.. we cannot control your driving.

Do you host private events?

Yes. Monday through Wednesday evenings are reserved for team building and private events. There is a 20 person minimum at $30 per person. $150 deposit due at the time the reservation is made.

Are you pet friendly?

You better believe it!

Is there an age limit?

Not during walk-in hours, but evening classes are 16 and up.

Can I share a project?

During the day: Yes. During the evening classes: No. Each person is a paid seat with the exception of our Partner Class where two people build one project.

How long does it take?

As little as 15 minutes if you are on a mission and doing a smaller project. The average project is about 45 minutes to an hour. Some Macrame classes will exceed two hours.

Can I bring my own planter/terrarium/piece and work on it there?

Yes, but only during walk-in hours. We charge per-plant and a table fee for dirt and filler items.

Do you have a potting service?

We pot your plants for free.

Can I bring my own pot in?

Yes! Bring it in, pick a plant, and we’ll pot it for free.

Am I allowed to let my small child rampage through your glass and fragile plant store unattended?

No.
