By Arielle Patterson

Whether you’re looking for beach threads, something chic or something unique, Virginia Beach is a shopper’s seaside paradise. There’s lots of ground to cover when shopping in Virginia Beach, and you’re bound to find much more than you can carry.

Oceanfront
The Virginia Beach Oceanfront has a souvenir shop on almost every corner. You’re sure to find everything you need for the sun, surf, sand and, of course, a remarkable souvenir. Customize a keychain for a personalized keepsake. Or, bring the fashions of the beach home from one of the many beachwear and surf shops. And don’t forget to grab a T-shirt from your new favorite oceanfront restaurant, or a mug or glass to remember your relaxing summer vacation with every sip. You can even temporarily brand yourself with a henna tattoo, whether you mark up your own design or pick from one of the hundreds provided.

ViBe Creative District
Just blocks from the Oceanfront, the cultural arts come to life. Visit the local contemporary art museum for inspiration. Don’t forget to stop at the gift store for museum-inspired merchandise. Once you leave, hit the streets and check out hand-painted works, ornate glasswork and ceramics. There’s something special for every art lover. The creativity of our local artists doesn’t stop there. Discover custom jewelry, hand-detailed leatherwork, hand-crafted furniture, textiles and other handmade items.
