Virginia Beach is set to transform into a canvas of intricate artistry as the International Sandsculpting Championship returns Sept. 26-Oct. 5, 2025.

This annual event, a beloved tradition for locals and visitors alike, showcases the incredible talent and skill of sand sculptors from around the world.
The championship, held on the bustling Oceanfront, invites artists to use only sand, water, and simple tools to create breathtaking sculptures. From towering figures to intricate landscapes, each piece is a testament to the sculptor’s dedication and creativity. The competition is a visual feast, offering spectators a unique opportunity to witness the transformation of ordinary sand into extraordinary works of art.
Beyond the competition, the event features a variety of family-friendly activities. Children can participate in hands-on sandcastle building contests, while adults can enjoy live music, food vendors, and artisan markets.
