Dec. 1-31: Holiday Lights at the Beach
The tradition returns to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront with all new displays, two additional blocks of lights, and a new 600 ft. LED tunnel. Jumping fish, musical crabs, and jolly elves dance in lights against the backdrop of the moonlit Atlantic Ocean. Highlighted by a Surfing Santa, color-changing archways, light fixtures that pay tribute to the region’s Armed Forces community, and a 40-foot dancing-light Christmas tree, the 2025 BayPort Credit Union Holiday Lights at the Beach, presented by Food Lion, offers wondrous fun for the entire family.
The 2025 BayPort Credit Union Holiday Lights at the Beach, presented by Food Lion, will again utilize timed entry to minimize wait times. Guests must purchase tickets in advance for a specific day and time, available at beacheventsvb.com.
Dec. 6: Holiday Parade at the Beach
Atlantic Avenue will come alive with holiday spirit with over 100 parade units taking to the streets during the annual Holiday Parade at the Beach. Giant balloons, marching bands, lighted floats, equestrian units, fire trucks, performing dance groups, motorcycles, and more joined forces to present a dazzling and entertaining night of fun for all ages! And, best of all, Santa himself will make a grand appearance to greet all his loyal fans!
Dec. 13-14: Surf-N-Santa 5 Miler
The 2025 BayPort Credit Union Surf-n-Santa 5 Miler presented by Bon Secours will be back with a brand new theme plus the same favorite traditions. This evening run allows you to experience the magic of the Holidays. Run through the holiday lights on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk before you celebrate your run at our post-race party.
Dec. 31 – Jan. 1: Last Night on the Town
Ring in the new year at Virginia Beach’s premier New Year’s Eve celebration! Created by the Central Business District Association (CBDA), Last Night on the Town (LNOTT) is now in its eleventh year at Virginia Beach Town Center and is a FREE celebration suitable for the entire family.
